Information FAQ’S

In general, spices are said to be aromatic vegetable substances, in the whole, broken, or ground form. The main function of spices in food is seasoning rather than nutrition.

Yes, there is! Herbs are the leafy portion of aromatic plants, whereas spices are obtained from the seeds, roots, berries, and barks of plants.

It depends. If you keep spices, herbs, and condiments in ideal conditions, they can live long, fragrant lives. Here is the life expectancy of each of our item:

  • Dried herbs will stay useful for 1 year
  • Ground spices will stay useful for 1 year
  • Whole spices will stay useful for 3 years
  • Salts will stay useful indefinitely
  • Flavored salts will stay useful for 3 years

Spices and herbs do not need any special care. However, it is better if you keep them in airtight containers and store them in dark, cool places. If you have a cupboard in your kitchen and you want to keep all spices in it, glass jars with tight-fitting lids are perfect for this purpose. Save your spices from direct sunlight for longer use.

No. It is not a wise choice to store them in a refrigerator. Some people believe a refrigerator provides an ideal environment to store spices due to its dark and cold nature. However, it also contains humidity that can cause mold or bacteria in spices. Therefore, we do not recommend storing spices in a freezer or refrigerator.
